A local architect designed this home in concert with the coastal environment and with careful attention to privacy and comfort.
Your introduction to this delightful cottage begins at the landing at the top of the stairs. As you enter, it becomes clear why it was named the Light-House. Light plays off the rounded corners and envelops and warms the entire room. Newly redecorated in a fresh "straw hats at the beach" theme, the wide plank wood flooring and soft sand colors on the walls reflect the changing moods of the sunlight and seashore.
You will find an efficient kitchen area complete with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and a Swedish dish drying cabinet. There is everything you need to prepare delicious meals and set a lovely table for dining.
The sliding glass door leads to a spacious deck overlooking the forested yard and ocean.
There is a private bath with tub and shower for soaking after an invigorating beach walk.
The
main living area includes a large comfortable sofa and a cabinet entertainment
center containing flat screen cable TV/DVD, books games, binoculars and art
supplies for scrapbooking in the guest books.
The Lighthouse has comfortable accommodations for two people with a queen size bed. An additional first floor oversized bedroom and bathroom with tiled shower is available to accommodate two additional people for $85 per night.
The first floor offers a queen bed, a sitting area with couch, a small entertainment center with cable TV, iPod docking station and separate CD player. This large, open room has French doors overlooking the yard to the ocean beyond.
